| What Type of Photography Do You Prefer? | | With so many types of photography out there, which do you prefer? More specifically, do you prefer to take personal portraits, pictures of nature, landscapes, architecture, etc. It's hard for me to say which is my favorite, but I think nature and landscape are up at the top of my list. I love being able to capture something so beautiful at a standstill. When you look back at it, it is like everything else just stops and you can observe one moment of beauty without any motion. It's a great way to stop and think about how precious our world and environment are, and how important it is to protect them. | |

| What do you do with your pictures? | | Do you just look at them and then leave them on your computer? Or do you print some and hang them on your walls? Share them in social networks life facebook? Or mylot? Maybe use them for Christmas and birthday cards? Or is anyone into microstock or "normal stock" photography? Some of my photos I share on facebook, here or other social networks. Most of the ones I take at show riding competitions I put on my web-page so I can watermark them automatically. I am trying to build up a microstock portpholio but I think I should try to get accepted by more than one agency to see if I sell more. And possibly take more photos and check what sells most. I normally use my own photos for Christmas cards etc, I think it is nice to pick a personal one if possible. | |

| Amateur Photography | | So here is a question: Does it matter how expensive your camera is if you are trying to get noticed for the photos you take with it?I own two digital cameras, and each of them cost under $150. I own a Samsung Digimax 360 and a Kodak CX7530. Both cameras work nicely, haven't ever given me any trouble, etc. Well someone I know online has been criticizing me for not investing in a better camera. Sure enough, I am serious and want this to someday be more than a hobby, BUT! I can't do that right now. The economy sucks and seriously, who isn't short on cash these days? That person just made me irate...ah well, enjoy the picture! | |
| | fox behind a tree | | This is one of those shots that you just happen to get, and my wife happened to be at the right place at the right time with her camera,
Not far from us, is a former country club and we have seen a fox there twice before, but tonight my wife took off with her camera just to try to take some pictures and she drove by this place and she told me she had to stop in the middle of the road to take this shot, she was so very fortunate and she loves this shot, and so do I
She managed to catch the fox as it looked out from behind the tree at her, and when its blown up to full size you can see the little sparkle in the Fox's Eye....My wife felt like it was a cat and mouse type game with the fox
Have you ever been in the right place at the right time to get a shot with your camera?
